Basketball Recap: Gibbon Comes Up Short

Gibbon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Adams Central Patriots 66-38. If the Buffaloes were looking for revenge after losing 55-46 to them when the teams met back in February of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gibbon's loss came despite strong showings from Kassandra Trevino and Brooke Sell. Trevino went 7-for-17 to rack up 20 points and seven rebounds, while Sell dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. Sell is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Gibbon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Adams Central, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-12.

As of now, neither Gibbon nor Adams Central have any future games scheduled.
