Football Game Recap: Pope John XXIII vs. Lowell Catholic

The last time they met, Lowell Catholic were the 20-17 winner over Pope John XXIII. This time around? They had no such luck. Lowell Catholic were completely outmatched, falling 6-41 to Pope John XXIII. The state rankings had actually given Lowell Catholic a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.

The loss dropped Lowell Catholic's record to 1-2. The win bumped Pope John XXIII's record up to 3-0.

Next week Lowell Catholic take on Austin Prep at McCarthy Middle School FB Fld. at 7:00 PM. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous match, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair. Pope John XXIII will be defending their home turf for the first time when they go up against Cathedral at Everett Veterans Memorial Stadium at 7:00 PM. Pope John XXIII will be strutting in after a victory while Cathedral will be stumbling in from a defeat.
