Basketball Recap: Grant County Comes Up Short

Grant County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shelby County Rockets. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Grant County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Shelby County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-19.

Coming up, Grant County will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Gallatin County at 7:30 p.m. As for Shelby County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 82-58 loss against Lafayette on the 8th.
