Video: Ezekiel Elliott, National Championship Game MVP, starred at Burroughs High

Ohio State superstar got his start at Burroughs High in St. Louis, and reached the Class 3 state title game as a senior.

Ohio St. running back was a beast in high school.


He's 19 years old, and he's the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship Offensive MVP. And not that long ago, Ezekiel Elliott was a running back for Burroughs (St. Louis).

The Ohio State star graduated in 2013 (he's a sophomore for the Buckeyes) and according to stats supplied to MaxPreps, he ran 114 times for 1,651 yards and 32 touchdowns in addition to two receiving scores in his senior season. Burroughs finished 13-1 in 2012, losing in the Class 3 state final.

Elliott was named to the 2012 MaxPreps All-American Second Team in the athlete position as well. Click here to see our pro photos of him in action.
