Cherry Creek is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Cherokee Trail, who was ranked 14th at the time (Cherry Creek was ranked second). The Bruins were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Cougars on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for Cherry Creek in their matchups with Cherokee Trail: they've now won seven in a row.

Cherry Creek hit Cherokee Trail with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cooper Arledge (2), Liam Madden, and Brady Stolze.

Meanwhile, Grandview narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Arapahoe 2-1.

Cherry Creek's victory bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Grandview, they now have a winning record of 6-5-2.
