Basketball Recap: Spring-Ford Has No Trouble Against Boyertown

Spring-Ford posted their biggest victory since December 12, 2024 on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Boyertown Bears as the Spring-Ford Rams made off with a 55-31 win. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Bears are ranked 557th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Braiden Luft and Keeshawn Copeland certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Luft posted eight points, while Copeland put up seven points. The dominant performance also gave Luft a new career-high in boards (three).

The victory made it two in a row for Spring-Ford and bumps their season record up to 8-4. As for Boyertown, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Spring-Ford will welcome Reading at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Reading knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Spring-Ford likes a good challenge. As for Boyertown, they will venture away from home to challenge Pottstown at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
