Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mater Dei). They came out on top against the San Juan Hills Stallions by a score of 8-3 on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Monarchs as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Mater Dei pushed their record up to 8-7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for San Juan Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Mater Dei has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Burroughs on the 24th. San Juan Hills has also already played their next matchup (against Woodrow Wilson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
