The win was a breath of fresh air for the Grizzly Cubs as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.
Cohen Betts, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Franklin Community squad sat out for Saturday's match. With Betts sidelined, Colin Anderson got his first action of the season.
Franklin Community's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8-1. As for University, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin Community will face off against Columbus East at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University, they have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Liberty Christian on Thursday.
