Softball Recap: Homestead Comes Up Short

Homestead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 8-2 to the West Bend East Suns. The Highlanders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Suns apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Homestead saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Strifling, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Homestead's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for West Bend East, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Homestead wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-7 loss against Hartford on the 15th. West Bend East has also already played their next game (against Slinger), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
