Baseball Recap: Brackett's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Brackett proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Sabinal Yellowjackets 7-5. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Kammron C and Tommy L did most of the damage at the plate: C scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while L scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy S, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Brackett's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Sabinal, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Brackett is set to face off against their familiar foe Knippa at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sabinal will square off against rival Falls City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
