Soccer Game Preview: Collinsville vs. Fort Payne

The Collinsville Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Fort Payne Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

It was a proper cat-fight when Collinsville faced off against Westminster Christian Academy on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 7-1 to the Wildcats. Collinsville's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Fort Payne managed to keep up with Westminster Christian Academy until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Fort Payne came up short against Westminster Christian Academy, falling 3-0. Fort Payne hasn't had much luck with Westminster Christian Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Fort Payne's loss dropped their record down to 11-6-1. As for Collinsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4-1.

Collinsville might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Fort Payne in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
