The American Eagles will take on the Deer Valley Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. American is looking for their season's first win.

American's last matchup with Mt. Eden could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. American came up short against Mt. Eden, falling 13-2.

American saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amber Hillman, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. What's more, Hillman posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Daniela Furtado also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Deer Valley made easy work of Ygnacio Valley on Tuesday and carried off a 22-1 victory. That looming 22-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wolverines yet this season.

Katalina Rogel made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Rogel was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Rosalyn Zermeno was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, six RBI, and two runs. Braelyn Valdez was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing Six bases. while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Deer Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

American's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Deer Valley, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
