Basketball Recap: Kylie Stone Key Part of Team Effort in Buffaloes Win

There's no place like home for Republic County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They secured a 45-41 W over the Lyons Lions on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-36 back in January.

Republic County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kylie Stone, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Stone a new career-high in points. Avery Stindt was another key player, putting up 16 points and four steals.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-13. As for Lyons, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Republic County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-15 defeat against Ellsworth on the 14th. As for Lyons, they have also already played their next contest, a 65-34 loss against Sacred Heart on the 11th.
