Baseball Recap: Beth Tfiloh Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Beth Tfiloh, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Berman Hebrew Academy Cougars on Sunday.

Zachary Rogers made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Jordan Gladstone was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Rafi Samuel was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Beth Tfiloh's win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Beth Tfiloh is taking a road trip to challenge Perry Hall Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Berman Hebrew Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Sandy Spring Friends at 5:15 p.m. on the 31st.
