Colfax dropped down to 10-4 on Monday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the El Dorado Cougars by a score of 3-2. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Cougars when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for El Dorado, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since October 29, 2024.

El Dorado was led to victory by Fatima Talavera and Maddison Angelich. Talavera had nine digs and two aces, while Angelich had 44 assists and 13 digs. Those 44 assists gave Angelich a new career-high.

Colfax wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Mira Loma on the 16th. As for El Dorado, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Liberty Ranch on the 16th.
