Baseball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glenwood Rams. The Lynx were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Dominic Cyboron made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Benjamin Cook also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 5-25. As for Glenwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-15 record this season.

Lincoln will host Bishop Heelan Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenwood has already played their next match (against Kuemper), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
