Volleyball Recap: Reagan Bison vs. Ferguson Falcons
Reagan lost against Ferguson back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bison lost 3-0 to the Falcons. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The final score came out to 25-15, 25-13, 25-12.
Reagan's offense was headlined by Sabrina Bou and Valeria LaRosa, who picked up three kills apiece. They were helped by Sofia Albar-Diaz and Renata Osma, who contributed three assists each. Ivanna Carrillo controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Ferguson found their leader in sophomore Samantha Olivia, who had 22 assists and three digs. Those 22 assists set a new season-high mark for Olivia. Elizabeth Munizaga also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
Reagan's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ferguson, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Looking ahead, Reagan will head out to challenge TERRA Environmental at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games TERRA Environmental has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Ferguson, they will challenge Coral Gables at 7:30 p.m. on the 16th.
