Baseball Recap: Gueydan Comes Up Short

Gueydan fell victim to Westminster Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 16-0. The Bears were not able to make up for their loss to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.

Gueydan dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Westminster Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Gueydan will challenge rival Vermilion Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Westminster Christian Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Ascension Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
