On Wednesday, the Proviso East Pirates narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Shepard Astros 29-26. That's two games straight that the Pirates have won by exactly three points.

Proviso East's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zulema Montoya, who posted 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Camiya Marshall was another key player, putting up six points and five steals.
