Baseball Recap: Federal Way Gets the Win

Federal Way owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Silas Rams 1-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Orlando Young was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Federal Way is 8-4 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Young was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

Federal Way's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Silas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.

Federal Way has already played their next game, a 13-3 defeat against Decatur on the 14th. Silas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
