After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Badin, St. Xavier was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Oak Hills Highlanders 5-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bombers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2022.

St. Xavier's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-11. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Oak Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Xavier will challenge Talawanda at 5:00 a.m. on Monday. The Bombers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Brave have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Oak Hills, they will square off against Princeton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Highlanders surely won't give up without a fight.
