Basketball Recap: Miller Grove Wolverines vs. Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears

The Miller Grove Wolverines lost against the Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Miller Grove had to suffer through a rough 59-11 loss at the hands of the Golden Bears. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Miller Grove has scored all season.

Despite the loss, Miller Grove still got an impressive performance from Kamiya Moore, who scored nine points along with three steals. Moore hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games.

Miller Grove has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Holy Innocents Episcopal, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miller Grove will square off against the Angoras at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clarkston has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28. As for Holy Innocents Episcopal, they will head out on the road to face off against the Wolves at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Buford is on a four-game streak of home wins, the Golden Bears a 16-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
