Soccer Game Preview: Crescenta Valley vs. Hoover

The Crescenta Valley Falcons will take on the Hoover Tornados at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Crescenta Valley headed into their last matchup having not scored more than one goal for five straight, but Burroughs let them put that streak behind them. Crescenta Valley blew past Burroughs 4-1 on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Falcons' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Burroughs with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Leon Einhaus (2), Cameron Duryee, and Solemon Alveno-Donofrio.

Meanwhile, neither Hoover nor Muir could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Hoover's draw gives them a new season record of 6-2-2. As for Crescenta Valley, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.

Crescenta Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Hoover when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 2-0. Will Crescenta Valley repeat their success, or does Hoover have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
