Basketball Recap: Madison West's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Madison West can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past the Madison East Purgolders 77-54. For the Regents, this counts as revenge for the 75-70 victory the Purgolders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Madison West's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Madison East, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Madison West will take on Middleton in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Madison West is facing Middleton at the right time seeing as Middleton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Madison East and Sun Prairie East will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Sun Prairie East will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Madison East surely won't give up without a fight.
