Baseball Recap: Perkiomen School Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Perkiomen School, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They never let the Lawrenceville School Big Red get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Saturday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Big Red recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Ryan Sink made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Perkiomen School is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Sink was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Perkiomen School got a big performance out of Zach Mayza, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that Mayza has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Cole Tucholski, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Perkiomen School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .478. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Perkiomen School's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Lawrenceville School, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Perkiomen School will square off against Episcopal Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lawrenceville School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
