Basketball Recap: Kermit Comes Up Short

Kermit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Seminole Indians and fell 111-27. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1195th, while the Indians are ranked 21st).

Kermit's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Seminole, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-4.

Looking ahead, Kermit will face off against Alpine at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Yellow Jackets will be up against the Bucks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Seminole, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Fort Stockton at 6:00 p.m. The Indians will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
