Softball Recap: Wakulla Christian School Starts Season with Win at Home

Wakulla Christian School gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Gadsden County Jaguars with a sharp 34-23 win. The victory continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Alexah Brown, who went 5-for-7 with five runs, six RBI, and two stolen bases. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (five). Another player making a difference was Milena Carns, who scored five runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wakulla Christian School will welcome Rutherford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gadsden County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Jaguars challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
