Basketball Recap: Maplewood Baptist Academy Skates Past Mackinaw City with Ease

Maplewood Baptist Academy lost to Mackinaw City back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Maplewood Baptist Academy Black Bears simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mackinaw City Comets 72-41. The Black Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 23 points or more this season.

Maplewood Baptist Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30 points. As for Mackinaw City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Looking ahead, Maplewood Baptist Academy will square off against North Michigan Christian Academy at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Mackinaw City, they will challenge Boyne Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
