Longmeadow had won five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 2-1 to make it six. They managed a 40-35 win over the Nashoba Regional Wolves. Things were looking grim for the Lancers in the first quarter (they were down by 21) but they stormed back to get the game.

As for Nashoba Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1. They were up 21 in the first, but they couldn't quite seal the deal.

Despite the loss, Nashoba Regional still got an impressive performance from Dylan Devine, who rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 139 yards and a pair of TDs. Another player making a difference was Jacob Burke, who rushed for 62 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Looking ahead, Longmeadow will take on Putnam Vo-Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nashoba Regional, they will square off against Maynard at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
