Volleyball Recap: Pendleton Heights Arabians vs. Yorktown Tigers
If Pendleton Heights was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lapel on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Arabians lost 3-0 to the Yorktown Tigers on Thursday. The Arabians were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-12, 25-20.
Carmen Horn paced Pendleton Heights' offense, picking up 12 kills. Horn got some help from Gianna Kanitz and her 13 assists. Kanitz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Pendleton Heights has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Yorktown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pendleton Heights will challenge North Central on Saturday. As for Yorktown, they will square off against Hamilton Southeastern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
