Basketball Game Preview: Blanco Panthers vs. Comfort Bobcats/Deer

Blanco has gone 8-2 against Comfort recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Blanco Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Comfort Bobcats/Deer at 6:15 p.m. Blanco has now lost 14 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 6.

Blanco came up into this matchup off a tough 20-point loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Ingram Moore by a score of 37-34 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since January 19, 2024.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ashton Uballe, who posted six points and ten steals. Those ten steals gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Romero, who put up nine points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Comfort, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against Florence on Friday as Comfort made off with a 40-14 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Bobcats/Deer as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Blanco's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Comfort, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Blanco beat Comfort 44-34 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Does Blanco have another victory up their sleeve, or will Comfort turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
