Football Game Preview: Richland Raiders vs. Collinwood Trojans + Official Tickets

The Richland Raiders will face off against the Collinwood Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Richland is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Richland and Moore County had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Richland simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Moore County 35-0. Considering Richland has won five games by more than 19 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

A big part of Richland's win came down to the chemistry between Gavin Shrader and his top target Jake Sands. Shrader threw for 167 yards and one TD while completing 71.4% of his passes while Sands rushed for 33 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 32 points the game before, Collinwood was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a hard 24-7 fall against Wayne County. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Collinwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Richland, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Everything came up roses for Richland against Collinwood when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 41-0 win. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
