Football Game Preview: Westfall vs. Unioto

On Friday Unioto take on Westfall at 7:00 PM. Westfall will be strutting in after a win while Unioto will be stumbling in from a loss.

Unioto were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their contest against Southeastern last Friday. Unioto came up short against Southeastern, falling 13-20. Senior Chance Smith and sophomore Aiden Loeffler were two go-getters for Unioto despite the defeat. The former rushed for 131 yards and 1 touchdown, while the latter picked up 93 yards on the ground and accumulated 93 passing yards.

Meanwhile, Westfall took their game against Piketon by a conclusive 60-30 score. Westfall were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Everything went Unioto's way against Westfall the last time the two teams met as they made off with a 34-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Unioto since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
