Baseball Recap: Bowie Comes Up Short

Bowie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 9-5 to the Henrietta Bearcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Tuesday.

Bowie's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Henrietta, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8-1 record this season.

Bowie didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-2 defeat against Ponder on the 5th. As for Henrietta, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Iowa Park at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th.
