Why it's big: In addition to wrapping up a sixth-consecutive outright Big VIII League title, No. 3 Centennial (9-0) wants a win over state-ranked Norco Thursday night to build momentum heading into the Pac-5 Division playoffs.

Norco (8-1) is the only team to ever beat Centennial in Big VIII competition since the league formed in 2008. That happened in 2009, but Centennial has dominated the Cougars in the subsequent five games by an average score of 44-17.

Names to watch: Seniors Javon McKinley and JJ Taylor are the top playmakers in Centennial's explosive offense. McKinley, rated a four-star prospect, leads the team with 655 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Taylor, a three-star running back committed to Arizona, has 1,112 rushing yards, 23 touchdowns and nearly a 10 yards-per-carry average.

Norco senior Victor Viramontes is a highly productive dual-threat quarterback. The three-star prospect, who is committed to Michigan as an athlete, has 1,649 yards passing, 822 yards rushing and 30 total touchdowns this season.
