Baseball Game Preview: Moultonborough Academy Panthers vs. Colebrook Academy Mohawks

The Moultonborough Academy Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Colebrook Academy Mohawks at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Moultonborough Academy has given up an average of 13.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Moultonborough Academy managed to slip by Lin-Wood the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers came up short against the Lumberjacks on Monday, falling 12-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Colebrook Academy hadn't done well against Gorham recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Mohawks skirted past the Huskies 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Mohawks as they're now sitting on four straight.

The team relied heavily on Jack Kyler, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Kyler is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Colebrook Academy's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.9 runs. As for Moultonborough Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Moultonborough Academy might still be hurting after the 15-2 defeat they got from Colebrook Academy in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
