Softball Recap: Taylor County Falls Short of Florida State University High School in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Taylor County can now relate to. They fell 12-7 to the Florida State University High School Seminoles on Thursday. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Seminoles from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Taylor County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiersten Carter, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Carter has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another was Jayden Freed, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Taylor County's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Florida State University High School, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-10 record.

As of now, neither Taylor County nor the Seminoles have any future games scheduled.
