Football Recap: Cardinal Spellman Falls to Nantucket in First Game of Season

Cardinal Spellman unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Nantucket Whalers on Saturday, falling 49-0. The Cardinals lost against the Whalers in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 14-7 score last time.

Looking ahead, Cardinal Spellman is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Dedham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nantucket, they will be playing at home against Carver at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
