Volleyball Recap: Hartfield Academy Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Hartfield Academy came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Ridgeland Titans by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Hartfield Academy never let Ridgeland on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14.

Hartfield Academy can attribute much of their success to Haley Collins, who had four digs and four aces. That's the most digs Collins has posted since back in October of 2024. Bella Vega also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Hartfield Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in ten consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Hartfield Academy's record now sits at 6-1. As for Ridgeland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Coincidentally, Hartfield Academy and Ridgeland will both be playing Petal the next time they take the court. The Hawks will head out to face the Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Titans will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
