Football Game Preview: American Canyon Wolves vs. Casa Grande Gauchos + Official Tickets

Two dominant backs in Andre Lopez and Ronan Curley are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The American Canyon Wolves will square off against the Casa Grande Gauchos at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. American Canyon is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

American Canyon's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 50-0 victory over Napa. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wolves' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 758th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead American Canyon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaac Anderson, who rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus-Jasiri Hughes, who rushed for 68 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Casa Grande didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Tamalpais on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 34-28 win.

The victory got Casa Grande back to even at 4-4. As for American Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

American Canyon came up short against Casa Grande in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 26-14. Thankfully for the Wolves, Danny Mercado (who rushed for 151 yards and one TD on only 13 carries, and also threw for 44 yards and one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
