Soccer Game Preview: Warren vs. Erie

The Warren Dragons will venture away from home to square off against the Erie Royals at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Warren had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the 12-goal drubbing they dealt Oil City on Thursday. The Dragons' defense stepped up to hand the Oilers a 12-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for Warren as they're now sitting on four straight.

Meanwhile, Erie's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Everything went their way against Franklin as they made off with a 4-1 victory. The win continues a trend for Erie in their matchups with Franklin: they've now won four in a row.

Erie hit Franklin with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Leonel Obando (2), Jeremy Kwabire, and Joseph Blamo Jr..

Warren's record is now 9-4. As for Erie, their record now sits at 5-7.

Everything went Warren's way against Erie in their previous meeting back in September, as Warren made off with a 5-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
