Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Onaga). They put the hurt on the Blue Valley Rams with a sharp 20-5 victory on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Buffaloes sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Bridgett Campbell made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Willow Hochstedler was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadyn Haskin, who went 2-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple.

Onaga kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive contests.

Onaga pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Blue Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Onaga beat the Rams by a score of 16-0 later that day.
