Baseball Recap: Madill Takes a Loss

Madill easily dispatched Marietta on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Wildcats fell just short of the Del City Eagles by a score of 6-4 on Monday.

Madill's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Del City, they moved to 2-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Madill is taking a road trip to square off against Wynnewood at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Savages' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Del City, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Little Axe at 12:00 p.m. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.5 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
