Soccer Recap: Gilmour Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin

Gilmour Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Gilmour Academy couldn't quite close it out.

Clara King and Kynzie Campbell scored both of Gilmour Academy's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The win (which was Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Gilmour Academy didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Padua Franciscan on the 23rd. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, they have also already played their next game, a 6-1 loss against Beaumont School on the 28th.
