Softball Recap: Madeira Mustangs and Amazons vs. Taylor Yellowjackets

Madeira had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped down to 4-11 to make it four. They lost 10-0 to the Taylor Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-1 last Tuesday.

As for Taylor, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by six runs or more this season.

For Taylor's part, they got a massive performance out of Emma King, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases King has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Ady Franke, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Looking ahead, Madeira will venture away from home to challenge Deer Park at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.55 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs and Amazons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Taylor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lawrenceburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
