Softball Recap: Preston Comes Up Short

After flying high against Snake River last Tuesday, Preston came back down to earth. The Indians fell 7-4 to the Shelley Russets on Thursday. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Russets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Brielle Biggs was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 1-for-2.

Preston's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Shelley, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Russets beat Preston by a score of 6-4 later that day.
