North Augusta waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 15 straight wins... but they left with 16. They enjoyed a cozy 42-24 victory over the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles. Given the Yellow Jackets' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the War Eagles are ranked 41st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Celena Grant was her usual excellent self, going 5 for 8 en route to 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Kenedi Wright was another key player, putting up nine points.

When it comes to explaining why Gray Collegiate Academy lost, don't look at Kadence Walker-Lee. Despite the final result, she posted five points in addition to 11 boards and three steals. Walker-Lee is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Diamond Tatum also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

North Augusta pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6.

North Augusta will challenge Aiken at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Augusta's defense has only allowed 26.6 points per game this season, so Aiken's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, they will square off against Brookland-Cayce at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gray Collegiate Academy is facing Brookland-Cayce at the right time seeing as Brookland-Cayce is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
