Basketball Recap: Lexington Find Success

Lexington won the last time they faced Flanagan/Woodland and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lexington Minutemen walked away with a 46-38 victory over the Flanagan/Woodland Falcons.

Despite the loss, Flanagan/Woodland still got an impressive performance from Ella Derossett, who went 8 of 19 on her way to 20 points and six rebounds. That was a full 52.6% of Flanagan/Woodland's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Chandler Weber was another key player, putting up six points and eight boards.

Lexington's record is now 9-15. As for Flanagan/Woodland, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.

Lexington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-44 win against El Paso-Gridley on the 10th. As for Flanagan/Woodland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-17 victory against Lowpoint-Washburn on the 10th.
