Volleyball Recap: Alak Falls to Meade River in First Game of Season

Alak had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Meade River Eagles by a score of 2-1. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 17 in a row.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Alak sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 23-25, 15-7.

Meade River is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.

Meade River will be playing at home against Harold Kaveolook at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Alak will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' match: after the Eagles face off against the Rams, they'll take on Alak again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
