Volleyball Recap: Saint Thomas Aquinas Takes Down Lansing in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Saint Thomas Aquinas rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lansing Lions. Winning may never get old, but the Saints sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Leading Saint Thomas Aquinas to victory were Malin Chaput and Addison Smith. Chaput had seven digs and two aces, while Smith had three digs and two assists.

When it comes to explaining why Lansing lost, don't look at Sami Gray. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and one assist.

Saint Thomas Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 29-5. As for Lansing, their defeat dropped their record down to 28-10.

Coincidentally, Saint Thomas Aquinas and Lansing will both be playing Bishop Carroll the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Golden Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Saints will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
